We have been to Ochos Rios and Montego Bay and will not visit Jamaica again. If every other person isn’t attempting to sell you ganja, you are on the receiving end of a very hard sell. In Mexico you have to say ‘no, gracias’ to many vendors, but at least they don’t yell at you for wasting their time as in Jamaica. The women in our party felt threatened and although I didn’t feel unsafe, it was not comfortable. And it is not every person. I had a very nice visit with Saraine Shaw, a vendor at The Fort in Montego Bay, but it is definitely sufficient to avoid Jamaica in the future. Besides, the folks in Grand Cayman and the Bahamas are most enjoyable.
