We were sitting in The Blind Piper in Caherdaniel discussing catching the bus to see the second half of the Ring of Kerry and return to Killarney when the barkeep said the bus was seasonal and was not yet running. So we offered one of the guys working at the pub 200 euros to drive us to Killarney if he would stop often to take pictures. That young man’s name is Shane McGillicuddy and he agreed. Nice fellow too, even if he told me I was paying too much.
