This is the capital of Slovenia. If you wish to avoid embarrassing pronunciations, ignore the j’s. We know this because a bus driver regarded us with suspicion when we used a more phonetic attempt. We want to recommend this city. It has a most welcoming feel without the crush of tourism present in the more popular European cities.
